Artist Inspiration- Denise Hopkins

Denise Hopkins is an admirable artist and empowering woman whose work and blogs are relevant and gorgeous. They energize me.
Using mostly oil paint, her subjects include birds and abstract landscapes from around her native Louisiana.
What they have in common are lush colors, confident, powerful paint strokes, and an almost a meditative quality- energy and calm residing together. Along with this, she has her own live wedding painting business, which is well recognized in her state of Louisianna and nationally.
Thankful to have crossed paths with this artistic force and I hope you'll take the time to look through her paintings and blog. I am psyched about starting the " painting a day challenge" she organized during the month of October. Can't wait!
